Illegal dumping is a serious offense that not only harms our environment but also endangers the health and safety of our
communities.
We call on all residents to work hand-in-hand with the municipality to keep Matjhabeng free from illegal dumping. Please
adhere to the official refuse removal schedule in your area and dispose of waste responsibly.
Together, we can maintain clean and healthy neighborhoods, protect our environment, and build the Matjhabeng we all want
to live in.
Take pride in your community—report any incidents of illegal dumping to your nearest municipal office.

The Matjhabeng Local Municipality's Electrical Department is currently hard at work in Ward 30, Thabong, successfully
attending to and restoring high mast lights that had previously been non-functional.
These high mast lights are essential for improving visibility and safety in public spaces, especially during nighttime.
Unfortunately, a growing concern has been the deliberate vandalism and theft of electrical cables connected to these
lights. ...
Criminal elements are targeting this critical infrastructure for personal gain, leaving communities in darkness and
compromising public safety.
The municipality strongly condemns such acts of vandalism and urges all residents to take an active role in safeguarding
public infrastructure.
By working together, reporting suspicious activity, and raising community awareness, we can help ensure that public
lighting systems remain operational for the benefit of all.
Let us unite to protect what serves us all. A safer, well-lit Matjhabeng begins with you.
